The first time someone told me that there was no such thing as writer's block (as a matter of fact, Gerry, I think it was you!), I got a little irritated. It certainly felt like something was blocking me. And there was: me. You make such wonderful valid points in this blog, and it feels like a much-needed smack in the face and a boot in the ass. I wish I would have read this much sooner; I probably would have finished my first draft long before now. Brilliant, you are. And yes, some of us are afraid of what our dear old mum would think! I would love to argue with you for those times I'm really stuck. But I have to agree. When I'm most stymied, I go write something else.
